The Aivention CustomerHand extension DOES NOT send your store's customer database, order history, or sensitive personal identification information (PII) to Wevelly's servers.
- Product Data: The extension processes your product catalog (names, descriptions, prices) to generate "Embeddings" (searchable data). This data is processed via the OpenAI API.
- Chat Inputs: When a customer on your store asks a question via the chatbot, the text of that question is transmitted to the OpenAI API to generate a response.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect or receive:
- To facilitate account creation and logon processes.
- To send you administrative information, such as product updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- To fulfill and manage your orders and licenses.
- To verify software licenses and prevent piracy.
3. Third-Party Data Processing (OpenAI)
The Aivention CustomerHand extension utilizes the OpenAI API (provided by OpenAI, L.L.C.) to function.
- Data Transmission: By installing and configuring the extension, you acknowledge that anonymized search queries and product catalog fragments are transmitted to OpenAI for processing.
- Data Retention: Wevelly does not permanently store the content of these chats. OpenAI processes data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
